Ventilation and air handling

Ventilation, air handling units and ductwork.

Fresh, filtered air at the right temperature in every room — with energy recovered, not wasted. We design, install, clean and maintain complete ventilation systems.

Why ventilation matters

A healthy building breathes through its ventilation system.

Modern buildings are well insulated, so stale air, moisture and CO₂ no longer escape on their own. Mechanical ventilation brings in fresh air, removes used air and keeps people comfortable without opening windows.

With heat recovery, the exhaust air hands its heat to the incoming fresh air in winter and cools it in summer. Heating and cooling costs drop significantly while indoor air quality goes up.

Aer Tech delivers ventilation systems for offices, hospitals, schools, hotels, production halls and retail spaces — from airflow calculations to balancing and maintenance.

What we offer

Complete ventilation systems, from the unit to the air diffuser.

A ventilation system only works well if every component is correctly sized and correctly installed.

Air handling units (AHU)

Modular and custom AHUs with filtration, heating and cooling coils, humidification and heat recovery — including hygienic designs for hospitals.

ERV / HRV heat recovery

Heat recovery ventilation for offices, schools, apartments and houses, with high recovery efficiency.

Fans

Axial, centrifugal and roof fans with efficient EC motors, for supply and extract air, kitchens and smoke extraction.

Air distribution ductwork

Rectangular and circular galvanised steel ductwork with thermal and acoustic insulation, dampers, diffusers and grilles — designed for low pressure drop and low noise.

Duct cleaning

Mechanical cleaning and disinfection of ventilation ductwork, with video inspection before and after, plus a work report.

Balancing and maintenance

Measuring and adjusting airflow at every diffuser, filter changes and periodic checks, according to the maintenance schedule.

Duct cleaning

Why ventilation ductwork needs cleaning.

Over time, ducts collect dust, grease (in kitchens), mould and bacteria. These end up back in the air you breathe, reduce airflow and increase fan energy use. In commercial kitchens, grease deposits are also a fire risk.

  • Video inspection of the ductwork before work starts
  • Mechanical cleaning with rotating brushes and extraction
  • Disinfection with approved products
  • Cleaning of AHUs, coils and diffusers
  • Before / after photo report
Where we work

Ventilation for every type of building.

  • Offices and commercial buildings
  • Hospitals, operating theatres and laboratories
  • Schools, universities and performance halls
  • Hotels, restaurants and commercial kitchens
  • Production halls and warehouses
  • Houses and apartments (heat recovery ventilation)
FAQ

About ventilation and ductwork.

What is an air handling unit?

An air handling unit (AHU) brings in fresh air, filters it, heats or cools it and sometimes humidifies it, before distributing it through the ductwork. It often includes heat recovery from the exhaust air as well.

How often should ventilation ducts be cleaned?

It depends on the building. In offices, every few years after an inspection. In hospitals, at intervals set by health regulations. In commercial kitchens, extract ducts need cleaning far more often, even several times a year.

How much does heat recovery save?

An efficient heat recovery unit can recover 70–90% of the heat in the exhaust air. In practice, fresh air enters the building close to indoor temperature and heating costs fall considerably.

Do you install ventilation in houses and apartments?

Yes. For homes we install centralised or decentralised heat recovery ventilation that removes moisture and mould and brings in fresh air without large heat losses.

Need new ventilation or duct cleaning?

Tell us the building type and floor area. We will assess the site and send you a quote.
