Precision air conditioning

Server room and data center cooling.

Close control air conditioning that holds temperature and humidity within tight limits, around the clock — so your IT equipment never shuts down because of heat.

Why precision cooling

A standard air conditioner is not enough for a server room.

Servers produce heat continuously, day and night, all year long. Comfort units are built for people and a few hours a day; precision air conditioning is built for equipment and 24/7/365 operation.

Close control units manage temperature, humidity and airflow at the same time, to within ±1 °C and ±5% relative humidity. They have a high sensible heat ratio, dust filtration and run in redundant configurations, so a single unit failure never takes the room down.

Aer Tech has been cooling server rooms since 1992 — from small IT rooms with a few racks to large data centers for banks, telecom operators and government institutions.

What we install

Data center cooling solutions for every size of IT room.

We choose the unit type based on heat load, rack density, available space and your availability target.

CRAC units (direct expansion)

Close control cooling with an integrated compressor for small and mid-size server rooms. Quick to install, no chilled-water plant needed.

Chilled-water CRAH units

For large data centers: perimeter units fed by chillers, with EC fans and low energy consumption.

InRow cooling

Units placed between racks that capture heat right at the source — ideal for high-density racks.

Hot / cold aisle containment

We separate cold air from hot air so servers only receive cooled air. The result: stable temperatures and lower energy bills.

Free cooling

In winter we use cold outdoor air for cooling while the compressors stay off — significant energy savings and a better PUE.

N+1 and 2N redundancy

We design the system so that a failed unit, or one under maintenance, never affects the room temperature.

FAQ

About server room cooling.

What temperature should a server room be?

ASHRAE recommends 18–27 °C for the air entering the servers, with controlled relative humidity. In practice, many rooms run at 22–24 °C. More important than the exact value is that the temperature stays stable and even across the whole room.

Can I use a regular split air conditioner for a server room?

For a very small room, temporarily, it can work, but it is not recommended. Comfort units are not built for continuous operation, do not control humidity and have no redundancy. A single failure over a weekend can shut down every server.

What is close control air conditioning?

It is precision air conditioning that tightly controls temperature and humidity (typically ±1 °C and ±5% RH) with 24/7/365 operation. It is the standard for server rooms, data centers and telecom equipment rooms.

How fast do you respond to a failure?

Clients with a service agreement get 24/7 monitoring and emergency response, with response times defined by SLA. We keep service teams and spare parts in stock, with response across the country.

Which parts of the country do you cover?

All of Romania. We deliver server room and data center cooling projects in every county and provide service nationwide.

Is your server room running hot?

Tell us how many racks you have and how much power they draw. An engineer will reply with a cooling solution and a quote.
